Aim
The hospitality sector in Fryslân faces considerable challenges in terms of the labour market, image and innovation. The sector largely consists of SMEs that often do not have the capacity to independently invest in training or innovation. To address these bottlenecks, this project was launched.
Target group
- Entrepreneurs in the Frisian hospitality sector especially SMEs.
- Workers and students within the sector
- Educational institutions (mbo and hbo)
- HRM managers and training companies
- Policy and network partners within Gastvrij Fryslân.
Result
The project provides concrete resources and insights that directly strengthen the sector, including:
- A sustainable network: The public-private partnership is developed into a lasting network that acts together in labour market development, innovation and image.
- Increased attractiveness as an employer: Through campaigns and practical stories, the sector is positioned as a proud and future-oriented working environment. This should lead to more inflow and retention of employees.
- Culture of lifelong development: There will be flexible learning and development paths where training and work practice are better aligned.
- Innovation and digitalisation: Entrepreneurs are supported in applying new technologies and digital tools to improve business processes and sustainability.
- Securing knowledge: All developed knowledge, tools and content will remain publicly available afterwards via www.gastvrijfryslan.nl, so that the results are structurally secured.
The results of the project - including knowledge, tools and content - are freely accessible via the online platform www.gastvrijfryslan.nl. In addition, the knowledge gained and materials developed can also be shared outside the province of Friesland.
Duration
