In the hospitality industry, we work with two collective labour agreements: the Horeca collective labour agreement and the HOP collective agreement. A CLA is an agreement between employers and employees on matters such as salary, working hours and training. But what exactly do these two collective agreements entail and what do they mean for you?

HOP collective labour agreement
The HOP collective labour agreement regulates the funding and organisation of the Horeca Development Platform (HOP). HOP was set up specifically to future-proof the sector. Through HOP, investments are made in projects that contribute to:
- Better working conditions.
- Campaigns to promote working in the hospitality industry.
- Better links between education and practice.
- Research and innovation in the sector.
- And more.
In the collective labour agreement, you can read what agreements the social partners have reached on HOP. The HOP collective agreement is valid from 1 September 2024 till 31 August 2029.

The hospitality industry collective labour agreement
The Horeca collective agreement applies to almost all companies in the sector, such as restaurants, pubs, hotels and catering companies. It lays down agreements on:
- salary and working hours

- working conditions
