Personal data we process
Stichting Horeca Ontwikkel Platform (hereinafter: HOP) collects and processes personal data in order to properly implement the social regulations contained in the Collective Labour Agreement for the Horeca Ontwikkel Platform (hereinafter: HOP Collective Labour Agreement), but also to comply with legal and contractual obligations and to improve our services. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
- name;
- e-mail address;
- telephone number;
- any other personal data that you actively provide yourself, for example in correspondence or by telephone;
- data about your activities on our website.
For what purpose and on what basis we process personal data
HOP processes your personal data on the basis of agreement (collective agreement), on the basis of consent or because of law or a legitimate interest for the following purposes:
- communicating about our services;
- answering your questions;
- evaluating and improving our website.
Automated decision-making
HOP does not make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals on the basis of automated processing. These are decisions made by computer programmes or systems, without a human being in between.
How long we keep personal data
HOP will not retain your personal data for longer than is strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply a retention period of seven years after the expiry of any right or claim relating to the HOP collective agreement. If we no longer need your data, we will delete your data.
Sharing personal data with third parties
HOP does not sell your data to third parties and only provides it if necessary for the implementation of the social scheme or to comply with a legal obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. HOP remains responsible for this processing.
Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use
HOP uses only technical and functional cookies on its website. And analytical cookies that do not invade your privacy. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, tablet or smartphone the first time you visit this website. The cookies we use are necessary for the technical functioning of the website and your ease of use. They ensure that the website works properly and, for example, remember your preferences. They also allow us to optimise our website.
You can opt out of cookies by setting your internet browser to stop storing cookies. In addition, you can also delete any information previously stored via your browser's settings.
View, modify or delete data
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your possible consent to data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by HOP, and you have the right to data portability. This means you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you. You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to [email protected]. To ensure that the access request is made by you, we will send you a verification email or ask you to provide information to us that will allow us to verify your identity. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but within four weeks. HOP would also like to inform you that you have the possibility to file a complaint with the national regulator, the Personal Data Authority. How we secure personal data
HOP takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to counter abuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. HOP has appointed a compliance officer. The compliance officer monitors compliance with legal rules and policies regarding personal data.
