About HOP

The Hospitality Development Platform (HOP) was initiated to make the hospitality sector stronger, more attractive and future-proof. The hospitality industry - like other sectors - is facing staff shortages. There is a perception that working in the hospitality industry is mainly a side job and offers insufficient opportunities for the future. To change that, HOP was founded.

With a small monthly contribution from employers and employees, HOP helps advance our profession and the industry. We do this by making working in the hospitality industry more enjoyable, safer and healthier. We also want to improve people's perception of (working in) the hospitality industry. And making sure education better matches practice. All to give our profession a bright future. So HOP is there for and by you.

We have just started and are hard at work setting up projects. So it will take a while before they are on the website.

Objective

HOP aims to contribute to the development of the entire hospitality sector. Our goal is to:

  • Improve working conditions and employment opportunities.
  • Ensure that education fits well with practice for both employees and entrepreneurs.
  • Strengthen the position of the hospitality industry as an attractive sector to work in.
  • Attract new employees to the hospitality industry.

Only together can we really make a difference. Together, we are shaping the future of our hospitality industry.

Initiators

HOP is an initiative of:
