Hospitality entrepreneurs get help to make occupational risks transparent and manageable with an updated approved online RI&E tool and guidance from advisers.
Aim
Every employer in the hospitality industry must have a Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RI&E). This is required by law and forms the basis for a safe and healthy occupational health and safety policy. Many entrepreneurs find drawing up and maintaining an RI&E complicated and time-consuming.
The project aims to unburden hospitality entrepreneurs. This is done by further developing the RI&E tool developed in 2025 and offering guidance by RI&E advisers. This will enable entrepreneurs to comply with legal requirements and ensure a safe workplace.
Target group
Employers in the hospitality industry.
Result
The project will deliver a user-friendly RI&E tool, including further development. With HOP's contribution, employers can:
Free use of the online RI&E tool that allows them to work on workplace safety themselves.
Have an RI&E scan done on site at a reduced rate, after which an RI&E advisor draws up an advisory report with an action plan.
This approach contributes to safe and healthy working conditions in the hospitality industry and strengthens good employment practices. The service is broadly applicable in the sector and helps entrepreneurs comply with legal obligations.
